Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Aquilla is a web-based translation workspace provided by Frontier R&D Ltd. (“Frontier”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information and the content you and your organization use in Aquilla.

2. Information we process

We process account details such as your name, email address, password hash, organization membership, and support communications. We also process the project materials you choose to add to Aquilla, including translation text, source files, media, project metadata, comments, and collaboration activity.

We collect limited technical and security information, such as IP address, device and browser information, authentication and service logs, to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure Aquilla; authenticate users; host and synchronize projects; enable collaboration; respond to support requests; meet legal obligations; and improve the reliability and usability of the service. We do not sell your personal information or your project content.

4. Your project content and AI features

You and your organization retain ownership of your project content. Aquilla processes that content only as needed to provide the workspace and the features you choose to use.

When you use an AI feature, the relevant prompt and project context are sent to the model provider selected for that feature. We use business/API access intended not to train generally available models on customer content. AI suggestions can be inaccurate and should be reviewed by qualified people before use.

5. Service providers

We use carefully selected providers to run Aquilla. Each provider receives only the information needed for its service and is bound by applicable contractual and legal protections. Where you enable AI features, we require that model providers be used via API tiers that exclude customer data from model training.

Subprocessors

We may update this list as subprocessors change. Material additions will be reflected here and noted in policy update notices.

6. Optional analytics

Product analytics are optional. If we offer analytics during signup or in settings, choosing not to participate will not affect your ability to use Aquilla. Analytics events are designed to exclude translation content, source text, project titles, and other user-entered content. Where PostHog analytics is enabled, we intend to use its EU Cloud service.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain account and project information while your account or organization remains active and for the time reasonably needed for backups, security, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. You may request account or personal-data deletion by contacting us. Organization administrators are responsible for managing their organization’s projects and members. We will document the applicable deletion timeline before generally available paid service launches.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted operational access. No system is perfectly secure, and you should protect your credentials and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to request a portable copy. To make a request, email hello@aquilla.app. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Aquilla evolves. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the service or by email. The effective date above identifies the current version.
