Terms of Service

1. Who we are

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of the Aquilla web application, website, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Frontier R&D Ltd. (“Frontier”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Alberta, Canada.

2. Accepting these Terms

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use Aquilla for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to agree on its behalf; “you” includes that organization.

3. The Services

Aquilla provides a web-based workspace for translation, collaboration, and AI-assisted translation workflows. We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services. Where a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice when practicable.

4. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent caused by your failure to protect it.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Services. In particular, you may not violate law or others’ rights; upload malware; interfere with the security or operation of Aquilla; attempt unauthorized access; use the Services to send spam or deceive others; or use the Services in a way that creates a material risk of harm to people or systems.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the text, media, and other materials you submit to Aquilla (“Customer Content”). You grant Frontier the limited rights needed to host, synchronize, display, process, and support Customer Content in order to provide the Services. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to use Customer Content with Aquilla.

7. AI-assisted work

AI features produce suggestions, not authoritative translations or professional advice. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs, including translation, theological, linguistic, legal, and factual accuracy, before relying on or publishing them.

8. Fees

Any paid Services are billed as described at checkout or in an applicable order. Taxes may apply. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew until cancelled through the relevant billing flow. Payment-card processing is handled by our payment provider; Aquilla does not store full card numbers.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, or others; for material breach of these Terms; or where required by law. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frontier disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frontier’s total liability arising from or relating to the Services or these Terms is limited to the fees you paid Frontier for the Services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to liability. Frontier is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, where those exclusions are permitted by law.

12. Privacy and changes

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. We may update these Terms; for material changes, we will provide reasonable notice by email or through the Services. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory rights that apply where you live. Courts in Alberta, Canada have exclusive jurisdiction where permitted by law.
